Thanks to the support of our Upgrade Fund, the agency Centre d’action bénévole du Bas-Richelieu acquired a commercial refrigerator.
A piece of equipment that may seem simple but is essential: it allows for better food preservation and supports the sale of ready-made meals, an activity that generates revenue to further the agency’s mission with vulnerable individuals.
At Jardins de la Terre, an employment integration agency, the participatory budget project has just paid off!
In 2025-2026, 25 participants chose to renovate their break space, with the support of caseworkers and dedicated volunteers. The result of this collective process? A welcoming, comfortable space conducive to relaxation, which will benefit many cohorts in the years to come.
This project was supported by our Community Development Initiatives Fund, in collaboration with the Centre d’écologie urbaine.
Through the participatory budget, participants were able to express themselves, develop their civic skills, and together choose a project that meets their current needs.
