Centraide Richelieu-Yamaska (R-Y) is proud to announce that its 70th annual campaign raised an exceptional sum of $2,725,000, a record since its founding. This result marks a powerful moment of regional solidarity, driven by the remarkable commitment of businesses, the public, and about thirty volunteers.
“ For 70 years, our community has chosen to turn toward others rather than look away. This campaign reminds us that generosity, here, is a lasting choice. Thanks to this commitment, agencies receive stable funding, and together, we prove that caring for others never goes out of style ,” said Ms. Caroline Lippé, Executive Director of Centraide R-Y.
Driven by more than 200 workplace campaigns and the generosity of numerous individual donors, the 2025 campaign reflects the lasting trust the public places in Centraide R-Y. This exceptional mobilization ensures the continuity of essential actions to strengthen the region’s community.
On May 5th, nearly eighty people, including representatives from community agencies, donor businesses, dignitaries, volunteers, and community members, gathered for the 4th edition of the Allies’ Evening.
During the evening, the official amount raised was unveiled by Mr. Alain Fortin, Senior Vice-President of Intact Insurance Quebec and honorary chair of the 2025 campaign. We would like to warmly thank Mr. Fortin and his team, who generously hosted the event at Intact Insurance’s offices in Saint-Hyacinthe.
Several businesses, agencies, and volunteers in attendance were also honoured with a certificate of recognition celebrating their remarkable commitment and significant contribution to the campaign’s success.
“ Seeing so many people from different backgrounds come together around a shared desire to support local agencies is deeply inspiring. This solidarity gives concrete meaning to our mission and reminds us that when everyone does their part, our community truly becomes stronger ,” said Mr. Jean-François Laporte, Chair of the Board of Directors of Centraide R-Y.
In the coming months, more than 70 agencies and community projects will receive direct support. These investments will have a tangible effect on key issues in the Richelieu-Yamaska territory, such as food insecurity, social isolation, violence, mental health, homelessness, and school perseverance. Every dollar raised stays here, to support sustainable solutions tailored to the reality of our community.
