On the occasion of School Perseverance Week, Centraide Richelieu-Yamaska reaffirms its commitment to youth by announcing two major investments to support children and young people in our community.
With a total of $315,455 dedicated to local initiatives, Centraide provides essential support to vulnerable families and funds 19 youth projects aimed at promoting school perseverance, social inclusion, and skill development.
By addressing the concrete needs of young people and their families, Centraide Richelieu-Yamaska takes action to provide them with the best conditions for success, empowering them to build a future that matches their ambitions.
For too many families in our community, the start of the school year brings stress and worry. School supplies, clothing, and other education-related expenses create a significant burden, especially for those already struggling to make ends meet.
In 2024, thanks to a $180,000 investment, 2,021 children from vulnerable families across the seven RCM of the Richelieu-Yamaska territory received essential support for their back-to-school needs. This program, rooted in a commitment to academic perseverance, ensures that young students start the year equipped with the tools they need to succeed.
