In February 2024, at a press conference attended by Caroline Lippé, our Executive Director, and Yaneth Gomez, we had the privilege of being present for the unveiling of an innovative project by the Centre des Femmes Entr’elles Granby, in which we invested $15,000.

After four decades of dedication to the women community, the Centre des Femmes Entr’elles has taken a major step forward in its commitment to the well-being of vulnerable women. By adding a clinical nurse to its team, the agency aims to provide care tailored to women’s specific needs.

This innovative project addresses a critical need, identified through an in-depth understanding of the challenges faced by women in precarious situations. In Quebec, in 2019, the rate of sexual offences was 109.4 per 100,000 people, totalling 9,116 sexual offences. Furthermore, in 2021, 1 in 200 women in Quebec reported an offence committed in the context of intimate partner violence to police. These figures underscore the importance of our investment in improving access to essential care and services for vulnerable women.

A meaningful investment in the City of Granby!

We are proud to support the Centre des Femmes Entr’elles Granby in this initiative.
